The next day Hubert Bastié said I could try his YZ250 on the campsite in the wet grass. That was a lot of fun :) I tried to get it sideways in the grassland without crashing. I failed miserably and I want to do it again. :) This was my first time on a proper dirttrack bike. No grip at all of course with the dirttrack tires on the wet grass so just before we went back to Amsterdam I had my share of dirt and fell of the Yamaha 2 times. I could not wipe that smile off my face the rest of the day. Thanks dudes for the ride! And thank you Dirt Quake for organizing this great! I'm hooked!

Dirt Quake 3 - part 18 - the end
Hubert Bastié and Maxime Petit-déjeuner aka the Mario Brothers both asked me to ride their 2 strokes. Maxime asked me on Saturday if I wanted to try his 125 vespa deathtrap. It tried to kill me but I survived, ha! That was the scariest thing I've riddin so far, damn that thing was incredibly light, aggressive, fast and impossible to ride with that flimsie frontend. No feeling at all. It was like riding with a flat tire.. Now that I think of it, that probably was the problem. I was riding it on the (wrong side of the) road after the race. Most riders where riding on the track with almost no tire presure at all. Riding an almost flat knobby tire doesn't improve the handling very much I reckon. :)
