every day between 1500 and 2300 visitors come to this site and most of my posts receive zero reactions..
ok, I'll stop crying now.
found this very nice Flickr site called Vintage-Revival. race motorcycle design nowadays is so boring if you compare it to these racers of the past.

ReplyDeleteEen van de beste motorblogs op het web!
ReplyDeleteohhh, he wants some pampering...!:D
ReplyDeleteIn this last post you managed to include pictures of my favourite bike of all times. The North London Garage (NLG) that won the first official race in the world in a closed circuit at the Brooklands racetrack back in 1908! It's got a Peugeot 1000cc engine (Peugeuot Fréres) and its AMAZING. Its now in the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. Thank you for that!

I look everyday. Everyday. I understand the frustration of getting no feedback, but we're out here and HIGHLY value what you do!
ReplyDeleteAn everyday viewer. Sometimes pictures say enough. Also in my opinion: comments on many other blogs are way too agressive. Everybody may have his opinion and may express himself though. It all depends on how you do it. Show some respect for each other.
ReplyDeleteDe gustibus et coloribus non disputandem, but you've got a great taste!
Yes,
ReplyDeleteLike others , i come almost every day and you're right, your blog is boring : only bike pics ;-)
Il you put some opinion we could comment : "yes" or "no" or sometimes "maybe ..." but what comment do you want on bike pics ?!?
Stop kidding : great job, high quality pictures and some beauty in the everyday life of 2500 -3000 people who can see this beauty.
Thank you
I am curious : how long does it takes to find the content and fill the blog ?
How did You find these pictures? Ive searched flickr till I'm blue in the face and havent found these ones. All the good bikes
ReplyDeletethank you, thank you :)
ReplyDeletenice to hear this, ha
for this post I searched "brooklands track bikes" in google
most of the time I start looking on google and from there I start digging in blogs, flickr pages, websites, etc.
I've just discovered Bubble Visor and have subscribed to it with Google Reader - absolutely love it. My best bike blog read yet.
ReplyDelete@DD
ReplyDeletewhen I'm working on a big project I don't check other blogs for days if I can resist myself but on an average day I spend at least one or 2 hours hour checking other blogs and looking for new links. I think I spend between 5 and 60 minutes a day filling the blog.
it's a lot of work but to quote Knoen (http://knoen.blogspot.com/)
"Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time"
Ok, that's the most gorgeous post ever!
ReplyDeleteI also visit here almost every day and your selections exceed my standards very oftenly!
Lennard, we love you! We just stopped commenting Cause you took Ms Bubble Visor away from the Header :-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, like others have said, everyday stop. That last post was excellent as Im going to be building a early Board track flavored bike soon, & theres a lot of insperation there.
Thanks, Jeff

I too appreciate what you do here. I'm subscribed via RSS, and check in regularly. You're doing a great service by scouring the internet for photos I'd probably otherwise never see.

The mix of recent photos of the bikes; most of which obviously still run, and the historical is superb. Dazzling array of different engine types. Really enjoyable to look at. Keep up the good work Mr. B.V.!
ReplyDeleteyea man, people just dont comment so much. look at reuters, they have the most important and biggest news stories in the world and they are lucky if they get a couple of comments. usually there are none. i got an average of 2100 peeps a day and also rarely get any comments. doesnt mean people dont like it though. keep up the good work mang!
