wow
did something with my gr650...!
I'm slow, I know... taking my time.
removed the front mudguard. will try to turn it into a slimmer version.
removed my rear wheel. Someone is putting my new rear Dunlop F11 tyre on it right now, yes!
it's a front tire, I know, but I found it impossible to find a nice looking 16" tyre
I tried to fit my "harley" rim. I like the look but it doesn't fit.. yet.
the rear axle is wider than my suzuki rim so i have to find a way to adapt it.
tips are welcome :)
more gr650 news will follow
That wheel looks awesome but the tire make it look even better. Want them toooooo...
ReplyDeleteThose tankslook pretty exotic, rare and custom... So if you want that look you'll probably have to do some fabricating yourself. If you don't feel like it a more common tank that I like the looks of, is the square-ish xs360 gastank. Good luck!
thanks zoran!
ReplyDeleteI already have a similar yamaha square-ish tank but it doesn't look right on the gr650..
Hey man,
ReplyDeleteWhat are the dimensions of the Suzuki axle and the Harley axle? Did you get the harley axle with the rim?
Looking good!!
I have a spare kz400 tank laying around. It doesn't look anything like what you're looking for but if you want to, you pick it up to check out what it looks like on the GR.
ReplyDeletehey michiel
ReplyDeletedidn't get the axle withe the rim..
still need to measure the size
thanks zoran, great idea
You know where to find me ;)
ReplyDeleteWe had the same problem with my xs400 dohc. The original tank is shit, but the new one – taken from a CZ175 Sport – was not wide enough at the center. So my friend, who is working with customising of my bike, find a nice sollution:
